In the book a thousand splendid suns by Khaled Hussein. There are a lot of secrets. The setting in the book is Afghanistan. In the theses Rasheed wants to the secret to control and married with Laila. He wants to keep the secret that Tariq is still alive. Rasheed lies to the Laila because he wants her in his life. He does anything to get Laila and he paid to Abdul. Abdul want money that’s why he did that to him to keep secret. The secrets in the book is Rasheed sends somebody to Laila house and said tariq was in the hospital and he was injured and he dead. Tariq and Laila are both in love with each other Tariq is her boyfriend he was in the army and he lost a leg in the war. He was going back to the army when Rasheed did that.
Tariq didn't die in the war, but laila doesn't know. Rasheed send Abdul to laila's house to tell lie because Rasheed paid him to do that. abdul wants to do that because he wants money. Pg- 194."Before Abdul sheriff visit Laila house and came to bearing his news, Laila thought now, she might have left gone somewhere far from here ". He purposed to Laila for marriages and she said yes because she didn't have another way that why she said yes. . He already married to Merriam she has miscarriage and lost her child and she was came from poor family her house made with mud it saws in the book cover you can see houses made with brick and mud.. He was cruller man and he wants her to always wear a burqa. After that he was very cruel, Rasheed wants to keep the secret to control and he lie to her because he wants her. The Muslim culture they are got 4 or 5 time married with another girl. He hates girls that who don't wear burqa. burqa is Muslim lady wear that it's Muslim culture. Rasheed is the owner for shoe make store and after he lost his business? Laila don’t have another way because she becomes pregnant to tariq child she could never survive alone with child. Rasheed likes her so much and he knows about Tariq and Laila everything. After she gets married she has one daughter and her name is Aziza and after she get another child from Rasheed it’s her son and his name is zalmai

. After that he treats laila to same as Merriam. Rasheed beat laila when she talks about tariq. When tariq came to his home and find to the laila and it’s strange to laila and she was shocked. She get now what happened with her but it’s too late, Rasheed send to somebody her house to told a lie. She told him somebody told her you are died in the war. She meets to the tariq and she tells everything what happened when he was not here.pg - 196."A part of tariq still alive inside her, sprouting tiny arms, growing translucent hand. How could she jeopardize the only thing she had left of him, of her old life?" He saw laila and his daughter. She told him rasheed was lying to her he send somebody to told me you are died in the hospital it’s rasheed plan. Rasheed know that tariq was his house and he was going to his house and beat laila and arguments with tariq. When laila learn the secrete and he lose controlled of her. Meriam was watching everything and she saw the murder too. pg - 304"her parents' death, her married to Rasheed , the killing ,the rocket, the Taliban, the beatings, the hunger, even her children, all of it seemed like a dream. She was helpless she have to accept his proposal because she became pregnant too. Rasheed was rule man who is controlled his wife when she going outside and they are always wears burqa She was scared and she tall to the laila goes from here and leave to the Kabul. The author told about secret how the women survive in the Afghanistan. They are deciding to move from Kabul and they move to the Pakistan and they are live in the Pakistan. Laila and tariq move to the Pakistan with two children and they are lived together. The author did in this book he express and show how there people live in Kabul. The author wants to tell about secret and he saw how there women lived in the Kabul the man controlled the women. The man decide where is he said when she going to the outside. She always wears burka and covers her face too. He never allowed his wife to talk to someone else. He wants to find her say lei it's not good. He lost his business know he was poor he did not work. In the conclusion Rasheed wants to keep secret to live with laila for married life but it is wrongs .tariq was alive when laila saw him she shocked and she know about the secret. She was killed Rasheed to hit his head to the shovel. tariq and Laila and they have two kids Tariq and Rasheed child lived together. The author tells about if you get something to lie you are no get so long.
In this passage author tells about in Afghanistan the women married to the young age. The old man married with young girls like fifteen years old. She follows her husband rule. The one man married with another girl too he don’t give divorce her she lived with together.
